Although the company had $80 million in annual earnings, 450 global employees, and multiple facilities around the world, they were struggling to stay afloat. They were saddled with rising debt, slow to collect receivables, and impacted by a weakened brand and shrinking market share. In addition, the company was immersed in lengthy contract negotiations with one of their Chinese suppliers.

The Plan:

Pound Consulting, Inc. initiated a turnaround with a focus on recouping profits, reducing debt, strengthening branding and streamlining operations. Pound Consulting Inc. visited all of the company’s global facilities, helping to facilitate a broader understanding of the issues and challenges. Pound Consulting Inc. also led the first international partners meeting, which continues to serve as a quarterly forum for organizational communications.

The Result:

  • Completed repayment of $13 million credit facility within nine months
  • Reversal of losses with strongest financial gains in five years
  • Resolved contract negotiations with Chinese supplier
  • Strengthened Chinese operations through greater communication and improved relationships
  • Recruited a new CEO
